2-Minute Iced Brown Sugar Oat Milk Latte with Javy Coffee

I love iced coffee.

But I’m impatient.

Prepping my espresso machine or my cold brew the night before is tedious.

So when I learned about Javy Coffee concentrate, I was intrigued. Add a teaspoon or two to your favorite drink, and voila! Your beverage is ready!

And since I’m obsessed with the iced brown sugar oatmilk shaken espresso from Starbucks, I’ve been determined to save a pretty penny by recreating it at home.

A special thanks to Javy for sharing a sample of their liquid coffee concentrate for this recipe.

Here’s a tasty 2-minute (seriously, I timed it!) iced brown sugar oat milk latte made with Javy Coffee!

Disclosure: Javy Coffee provided a bottle of their liquid microdose coffee for this recipe. All thoughts and opinions are my own. This post contains affiliate links. If you use these links to buy something, I may earn a commission at no cost to you. Thank you!

Wait. Can vegans drink coffee?

Ok, so before I get to the recipe, let me be clear. As you may know by now, my family and I went plant-based and then vegan a couple of years ago.

So all the recipes I share on this blog are vegan

And as long as no animals were harmed or used to make the coffee, we can drink it! (Thank goodness! Because coffee—even decaf—is like nature’s nectar for me.) Oh, and remember that any added ingredients shouldn’t have animal products in them either.

This iced brown sugar oat milk latte recipe uses plant-based milk.

Ok, let’s make some vegan iced coffee!

What is needed to make this recipe?

You’ll need glasses that hold at least 16 ounces. You’ll also need something to stir your iced coffee with. I used the copper straws from Javy. I love the color!

As for ingredients, you’ll need a brown sugar cinnamon syrup, ground cinnamon, Javy liquid microdose coffee, cold water, oat milk, and ice.

See? It doesn’t take much to concoct this masterpiece!

The ingredients needed to make the copy cat iced brown sugar oatmilk shaken espresso at Starbucks. From left to right, a glass of water, a bottle of Javy Coffee concentrate, a box of Oatly oat milk, a small steel pitcher for milk, a bottle of Torani brown sugar cinnamon syrup, a small dish with ground cinnamon and three teaspoons.
Here are the ingredients I used to make this iced coffee.

How is an iced brown sugar oat milk latte made?

Once you have all your ingredients together, it doesn’t matter what order you put them together. But here’s how I started.

I poured 1 to 2 tablespoons of the brown sugar cinnamon syrup into the glass. Adjust the amount depending on how sweet you want it. Then I added the 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon, again adjusting with how much I wanted.

Next, I poured 2 teaspoons of Javy coffee concentrate into the glass. Then added 2/3 cup water and 2/3 cup oat milk. Lastly, I topped it with ice, and gave it a few whirls!

To recreate the iced brown sugar oatmilk shaken espresso at Starbucks, you could shake this together if you have a shaker. I’ve done it that way and it does mix the cinnamon up similar to how Starbucks serves it.

What would this vegan iced coffee taste well with?

I love drinking this in the afternoon. The sweetness answers my prayer for something sugary after the kids come home from school and the ice gives me a much-needed pick-me-up before I start cooking dinner.

But it also goes well with breakfast, brunch, and dessert!

You can try it with this vegan quiche recipe or these vegan sugar cookies.

Why use Javy Coffee concentrate?

Well, first of all, it’s vegan. (Cue applause!)

But it’s also gluten-free, non-GMO, and sugar-free!

Plus, if you’re a minimalist (like my husband), Javy is for you. It’s literally a small, 6-ounce bottle that holds 30 servings of coffee. You can ditch your grinder. Your espresso machine. Your coffee pot. Your cold brew contraptions… you get the idea!

And if you’re busy, (yes, even us stay-at-home moms are tight on time!), this is a time-saver. Add 1 to 2 teaspoons to your liquid of choice and you’re off!

Also, if being mindful of Mother Earth is your thing, Javy delivers. According to their site, about 2.5 billion single-use coffee cups are thrown away each year around the globe. Javy’s bottles are made of premium glass material (and recyclable).

Lastly, it tastes great! It’s super smooth and doesn’t have that bitter taste I often get from coffee after drinking it.

And although I tried the decaf (because I mainly drink decaf), they have caffeinated! The concentrate can also be served warm by adding hot water or your favorite plant-based milk heated up.

LOL, how fun! How do you milk oats? 🤡
I completely confused a woman at a coffee shop I frequent when I ordered a Chai Latte; she heard “soy latte” and it took more than a few minutes to sort that out!
So cool that you found an easy way to make your favorite drink. For me, it’s black tea – with the occasional chai.

Looks amazing! Will have to look for some of those ingredients, as I have never heard of brown sugar cinnamon syrup! May have to sub almond milk as oat milk does not agree with me.

You can totally use almond milk Marianne! Or any plant-based milk. 🙂

Oh that looks refreshing. I’m also impatient with coffee, especially in the mornings.. I use instant coffee at times but liquid microdose coffee sounds like a good idea 🙂

Sounds great! Does it have to be refrigerated? Thinking this would perfect for camping trips!

Hi Tiffany! Yes, it says to refrigerate after opening and that it will last 4-6 weeks. And yes! It’s a great solution for camping!

The latte sounds so intriguing! I’m just not a coffee drinker. Can’t beat a 2 minute drink though.

This sounds really good with the oat milk! I’ prefer oat milk in some things lately. Lots of great reasons to love the Javy coffer too!

This is probably a better morning coffee drink than my White Russian coffee drink 😅
I’ll have to share this with my husband bc he is obsessed with coffee too but this instant concentrated version from Javy might be right up his alley. Have you tried it warm too? Now that there’s snow here it’s like everything must be warm now! Haha
