20 Funny Marriage Quotes that Will Get Both Spouses Laughing

by Chelsea K. Baxter
A happy bride and groom on their wedding day holding glasses of champagne, and laughing hysterically during a toast.

What makes a funny marriage quote good?

When both spouses can laugh without hurting the other’s feelings.

Seriously though. How many quotes have you heard that are at one spouse’s expense or degrade the other in some way?

While some can laugh at those, not all can.

And I love my hubby too much to hurt his feelings.

It’s actually because of him that I’m writing this post.

February marks National Weddings Month, National Marriage Week (February 7-14), and World Marriage Day (February 13).

Buuuut. February 14, 2022, also marks 20 years since my husband and I went on our first date!

And laughter has always been a big part of our relationship.

So to honor 20 years of laughing together, here are 20 funny quotes about marriage! (And yes, the photo at the top is us on our wedding day, courtesy of Photography by Leanne Reis.)
